AFORE XXI Is getting ready to continue with the leadership of the AFORES
Afore XXI is a Retirement Funds Administrator, responsible for managing individual accounts of workers, where employers, government and the worker contribute with resources to create their retirement funds; these resources are invested safely, pursuing best returns aimed at increasing the fund to allow individuals to anticipate and enjoy their life in retirement.
Background
Afore XXI conducted a series of technological renovation projects in its information management systems, considering the implementation of the Payroll and Human Resources module.
The project's main objective was to have a single global management system that would consolidate the information from all the staff, and the integration and analysis of data with other areas such as Finance and Accounting.
Scope of Implementation
Afore XXI decided to implement the functionality of SAP's HR and Payroll. Besides replacing its own applications, this implementation would improve and optimize business processes in the following areas:
- Organization (OM)
- Personnel Administration (PA)
- Time Management (TM)
- Payroll (PY)
The system should be implemented under a comprehensive and integrated view of processes, systems and people, that would allow to easily manage the processes (end-to-end) that are developed within the field of the Human Resources area.
Implementation Development The project started in September 2010 with an analysis of the current situation, including the processes involved in the application as well as the various departments involved.
Later, SYAAT offered a training workshop for users on their servers, which helped them to get acquainted with the HCM functionality and define business processes accordingly to the area for the design of the solution.
Once the solution was designed, SAP was integrated with another system called SAFRE used to receive the payments to be made to employees on the payroll and to send from SAP the required staff movements for SAFRE to calculate such payments.
After the design phase, the requirements for the initial load were defined, and the difficulties found during data debugging were solved.
The keys to a successful implementation where:
- Startup focused on the limited functionality defined in the proposed formal request.
- Total involvement and excellent work of the users, which allowed the adjustment of processes and the final debugging of data.
Benefits Afore XXI has today a Human Resources Management System that supports organizational and functional changes needed to face the new operating model.
This has allowed not only to increase the quality of the services provided by the Human Resources area to the rest of the organization, but to streamline processes and facilitate users' execution of his/her duties in the area.

Thanks to the project team SYAAT Mexico- AFOREXXI We are confident that our AFORE XXI team participated in this project committed to go live on the proposed dates, and this was possible because of their dedication; they worked in the daily operation, fulfilling their assignments, which required 100% of their time and sometimes even weekends.
Definitely the successful implementation of the project was also possible due to the leadership and advisory knowledge of SYAAT Mexico, which at all times and very professional, led the project, applying knowledge and experience, as well as the ASAP project implementation methodology and the scenario "Solution Implementation" from the Run SAP methodology, thereby leaving all project information electronically in the Solution Manager.
We really thank the professionalism of the two teams who undertook the project and brought it to fruition, working from the proposed start date, exceeding scope's expectations and under the estimated budget, resulting in a Human Resources and Payroll Management Platform that significantly benefits the company.
